Jerusalem Sage: You Need It!
The Jerusalem Sage quickly became one of my favorite plants for central Texas landscapes. The beautiful, yellow whorls of flowers are unique and in shape and vibrant in color. The silvery gray foliage is not too shabby either. They love full sun and can be quite drought tolerant, once established. Prune them after the blooms fade and it will encourage new growth. Deer typically will not eat it and its moderate size 2 to 4 ft. tall, 3 to 5 ft. wide, which makes it a great shrub for most yards.
